Setteporte Etna Bianco Spadatrappo
Masseria Setteporte Etna Bianco is a refined and energetic expression of Sicily’s volcanic landscape. Produced on the southern slopes of Mount Etna, the vineyards sit at elevations of around 650–800 metres, where bright sunshine and cool nights encourage slow, even ripening. The combination of altitude and mineral-rich volcanic soils gives the wine its distinctive freshness, complexity and lively acidity.
Made predominantly from Carricante, the indigenous Etnean variety renowned for its purity, mineral character and ageing potential, the grapes are carefully harvested by hand before being gently handled in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve the grape’s freshness and aromatic character, followed by a short period of ageing on fine lees to add texture and subtle complexity.
Pale straw in colour, the wine offers an expressive bouquet of lemon zest, wild herbs and delicate white flowers, alongside green apple and ripe pear. The palate is vibrant and beautifully structured, combining bright citrus flavours with volcanic minerality, subtle almond and a delicate saline character. Fresh, elegant and persistent, it finishes with remarkable length and clarity.
