Chateau Cantemerle Haut Medoc 2014
Château Cantemerle was the final estate to be added to Bordeaux’s famous 1855 Classification and remains one of the appellation’s most reliable choices for value. The 2014 vintage is a particularly fine example, offering plenty of classic claret character. Fragrant and refined, it opens with well-defined blackcurrant aromas alongside hints of cigar box, black tea and vanilla. There is impressive substance and structure on the palate, with a generous length and elegant finish. A lovely example of the more traditional, ‘old-school’ style of Bordeaux.
