Domaine Fichet Macon Villages
The terroir is distinctive, characterised by chalk and clay soils rich in white limestone, while the local microclimate brings added humidity and frequent morning mist. Francis Fichet was among the first growers to introduce Pinot Noir to this predominantly Chardonnay-focused region. His earliest vines, now more than 30 years old, are blended with additional Pinot Noir plantings established by Pierre-Yves in 1994 and 1995.
Today, Domaine Fichet manages 35 hectares of vineyards, including 26 hectares dedicated to Chardonnay.
