The Schmitt winery has remained in the family for more than 230 years, with Bianka and Daniel tending its 16 hectares over the past decade. They farm entirely biodynamically, a philosophy they adopted from Alsace winemaker Patrick Meyer, and are among just 80 producers in Germany to hold Demeter certification.
