En Route Pour lApero AOP Savoie, Domaine Dupraz
Established in 1880 by François Dupraz, the estate is now run by 6th generation winemakers Jérémy and Maxime Dupraz. They work 18ha of vineyards in the foothills of the Chartreuse Massif in Apremont, within the lieu-dit of Le Reposoir. Jérémy and Maxime farm organically by hand, and produce natural wines to obtain the purest expression of Jacquere and other grapes, such as Mondeuse and Altesse. They use a unique method of pruning with the vines shaped like a Y, which means the leaves have more direct sunlight leading to sweeter and better quality grapes.
