His late father, Gerd, was one of the very first Spätburgunder producers in Germany to give his wines some serious French oak treatment, a wine making philosophy that Alexander continues today. Exceptional location such as the Recher Herrenberg are a gift of nature., even so careful pruning and green harvesting are essential to ensure low yields and good ripeness.
