Ferraton Les Miaux Hermitage 2010
Les Miaux is a Syrah-based red from the prestigious Hermitage, grown on a terroir of clay, limestone, and rounded pebbles. After a fully destemmed harvest, the grapes are vinified in vats for around a year, followed by ageing in oak barrels for 14 to 16 months, with a modest 10% new wood. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour and opens with an expressive aromatic profile of black fruits, sweet spices, and liquorice. The palate is rich and powerful, yet finely balanced, with silky tannins and ripe, generous fruit at its core. Long and persistent, it offers both depth and structure, making it an excellent match for richly flavoured meat dishes.
