Domaine de la Madone’s “Perréon Power” Pét Nat is a vibrant, naturally sparkling Gamay from the granite slopes of Le Perréon in Beaujolais-Villages.
Made from old-vine Gamay, it’s a gloriously fresh, hazy pink pét-nat bursting with wild strawberry, raspberry and juicy red cherry, with bright citrus zest and a gentle hint of brioche adding extra lift and complexity.
Bone-dry and wonderfully energetic, the palate combines lively bubbles with crunchy red fruit, refreshing acidity and a deliciously stony, mineral character courtesy of those granite soils.
This is a wine made for drinking rather than pondering: fresh, playful and hugely food-friendly. Crack it open with fried chicken, a generous charcuterie board, picnic fare or anything sizzling away on the BBQ.
