Domaine de la Chaponne Cote de Py Morgon
This is a respected family-run estate of 13 hectares, managed by Laurent Guillet and Laurence Guillet, producing wines from the Morgon appellation.
Their Morgon Côte du Py comes from the most highly regarded sector of the cru, known for producing structured, age-worthy wines from vines averaging around 60 years old. A “système de grillage” is used to increase skin contact during fermentation, enhancing depth, character and expression.
The result is a rich, deeply coloured wine that is enjoyable in its youth but has the potential to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
