Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet is run by Jean-Baptiste Bonnigal and Stéphane Bodet, who took over the fourth-generation family estate in Amboise in 2015. Farming a diverse range of organically and biodynamically managed vineyard parcels, they produce wines from Chenin Blanc, Côt (Malbec), Sauvignon Blanc and Pineau d’Aunis. Le Clocher comes from a south-facing clay-limestone vineyard overlooking the village of Limeray, a site that brings freshness, concentration and mineral character to the wine.
Bright and expressive, it offers vibrant aromas of juicy black cherry and blackcurrant, lifted by hints of violet and cracked black pepper. The palate is fresh and energetic, with lively acidity, silky yet finely structured tannins and a long, elegant finish.
