Daschbosch Avon Clairette Blanche
Avon Winery sits among the rugged slopes of the Olifantsberg Mountain in the Breedekloof Valley, where Clairette Blanche bush vines were planted in 1977. Once largely forgotten, these precious old vines have been carefully revived and are now cultivated with minimal intervention, allowing their natural character and distinctive sense of place to shine.
The wine offers delicate and expressive aromas of lychee, greengage and fresh citrus. On the palate, it develops greater richness and texture, with flavours of baked apricot and ripe citrus complemented by a beautifully rounded mouthfeel. A smooth, lingering finish adds to its elegance and appeal.
A distinctive and characterful expression of old-vine Clairette Blanche, it pairs particularly well with vibrant salads, lighter meat dishes and seasonal seafood.
