Pierre & Antonin Petit Sauvage Orange
A beautifully structured and expressive orange wine from the innovative duo Pierre & Antonin, crafted in the Languedoc with a commitment to natural, additive-free winemaking. Made from Souvignier Gris, this cuvée reflects their dedication to sustainable practices and the region’s Mediterranean heritage, resulting in a wine that is vibrant, characterful and made to be shared.
The nose is wonderfully aromatic, offering delicate floral notes of jasmine and white tea alongside hints of bergamot and ripe vine peach. The palate is textured and refined, with a rounded mouthfeel and gentle tannins providing structure and depth without overpowering the wine’s elegance. Balanced and layered, it finishes with impressive length, silkiness and finesse.
The grapes undergo an extended skin maceration of 11 days, without destemming or crushing, allowing for the gentle extraction of colour, aromatic complexity and fine tannins. Following pressing, the wine is aged for five months in conical white oak vats, adding richness and complexity while preserving the purity and expression of the Souvignier Gris. Made without additives, it is a true reflection of its variety, place and natural winemaking approach.
Best enjoyed lightly chilled, this versatile orange wine pairs beautifully with lightly spiced Mediterranean cuisine, roast chicken, creamy vegetable dishes and soft to semi-aged cheeses.
