The founder of Grgich Hills is the now legendary Miljenko “Mike” Grgich. In 1976, Grgich’s Chateau Montelena Chardonnay was selected as the winning white wine at the infamous Judgement of Paris blind tasting competition. This agewothy Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from fruit sourced from Grgich Hills’ Yountville vineyard as well as smaller proportions from Rutherford and Calistoga. An opulent, full bodied Cali Cabernet with a firm tannic structure, bursting with concentrated cassis, blackberries, blackcurrants, dark plum and five spice.
