Heritage du Cedre Malbec Cahors
The vines at Château du Cèdre are planted on two distinct soil types: stony clay-limestone terroirs that produce wines of precision and fine tannic structure, and deeper clay, sand and pebble-rich soils that yield more powerful, concentrated expressions.
The Héritage is a blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot. Around 80% is matured in tank, while 20% is aged in two-year-old barrels for 16 to 18 months.
In the glass, its deep ruby colour with violet highlights precedes aromas of blackcurrant, violet and spice. The palate is direct and precise, with clean acidity softened by a supple texture, leading to a long and satisfying finish. Versatile and expressive, it pairs well with bistro-style dishes and grilled meats throughout the year.
