Founded in 1958, CAVINO is a family-owned winery nestled on the slopes of Aigialia in the Peloponnese, surrounded by picturesque vineyards. Here, the meeting of mountains and sea creates a distinctive microclimate that allows local grape varieties to thrive, producing wines of remarkable character and quality.
The winery sources fruit from vineyards across the slopes and highlands of Nemea and other renowned regions of the Peloponnese. Warm Mediterranean days, tempered by cool nights, encourage slow, even ripening, preserving freshness while developing concentrated flavour. Clay, loam, and limestone soils provide excellent drainage and impart structure, minerality, and elegance to the wines. Together, the region’s unique climate, altitude, and diverse soils produce balanced, expressive wines that authentically reflect their Mediterranean heritage.
Bright red cherry, raspberry and plum flavours are complemented by subtle spice and earthy notes. Medium-bodied with soft tannins and balanced acidity, this is a smooth, approachable expression of Greek red wine.
