Deep ruby in colour with purple highlights, it shows expressive aromas of red berries layered with notes of plum and spice. The palate is full-bodied yet well balanced, with lively tannins and a long, satisfying finish of ripe red fruit.
Malvasia Nera, one of Salento’s key native varieties, has traditionally been grown alongside Negroamaro and often co-fermented with it in several local appellations, including Salice Salentino DOC and Brindisi DOC.
