Summer Case
Finally it feels like summer. We’ve managed to have at least two consecutive days of sunshine and (so far) the rain has held off. For this month’s case, we’ve picked six wines which work in all situations. Whether you’re having a bbq and need something to wash down the burnt sausages, a bottle of fizzy for that impromptu trip to the beach after work or just a bottle of rosé for the garden. We’ve gone slightly off the beaten track and picked wines which you may not normally reach for. The Sottano Torrorntes is a great alternative to those Picpoul fans out there. The organic Nouvelle Vague blanc is a new addition to us and is a perfect match for a summery salad in the garden. There’s a heavier, more luscious Zinfandel from America as well as a perfect mid-week tipple with the organic Allumea Montepulciano. And of course, a classy Provencal style rosé.
