New Wines for Autumn Case
We live in exciting times. The government duty rise took effect in August, which you may not have noticed as you were all on holiday. However, it was seismic for us; all of our traditional ‘price points’ on our current wines have been hopelessly disrupted. Thus we have decided to embark on our most radical list change in a decade or more. We’ve kept lots of wines, but we’re changing a heck of a lot, too.
For the last month or so, one or other of us has been nose at the grindstone, heroically tasting new products up in London, down in Sicily, or over in France, in the name of Better Value. These wines are now landing in the shop, and in celebration of this, we present to you this New Wines Case!
It’s the usual gig; six new wines, with a lumpier than usual discount. They include a smart new trad method sparkle (Not Prosecco) from Italy, a lovely pair of South African natural wines – a juicy Cinsualt and a tangy fresh Palomino – a brand new Aussie Coonawarra Cab, and a mentally good new Mencia from Spain.
