Domaines des Bernardins Blanc Muscat Sec
The Castaud-Maurins were pioneers as individual private growers together with the Leydiers at Domaine de Durban. They own 25 hectares, of which 15 hectares are dedicated to Muscat which includes some 30% Muscat Noir. The grapes are entirely handpicked, and the wine is tank fermented with a yield of no more than 30 hl/ha. The wine has a fine delicate character of almonds and apricots, and the use of black Muscat gives it a lovely orange tint in the glass.
