With retro 1980’s wine aside, this Riesling is much riper and juicier than it’s predecessor Liebfraumilch. The wine has a firm medium body, taught nervy acidity with lots of juicy ripe stone fruit flavours of peach and apricot with some pear, apple and tropical fruits. It has a wonderful backbone of minerality and freshness which balances the slight touch of sweetness. It is enough to be considered to be classed as off-dry. However, this residual sugar gives the wine it’s great body and texture.
