South America New Arrivals Case
As part of our eternal quest to find the world’s best wines, we’ve recently reviewed South America, and have come up with some absolute beauties!
We’ve returned to one of our older, long-standing suppliers, Atamisque, whose Serbal range are grown at extreme altitude beyond 1000m in the Argentinian Andes. They have made a sublime Pinot Noir at a very reasonable price.
With Spanish Albarino having increased in price in recent years, it’s been a bonus to look to Uruguay, where this variety has been adopted with much success. Our cheapest Albarino now is made by the Revolution winery in Uruguay and is a gorgeously vibrant, pure example of this very popular grape.
Other new additions to try? We couldn’t miss out a juicy new amphora-fermented Tannat from Uruguay, and a lovely Barbera from the same country.
Finally, as a nod to Chile, we are showing off Apalta, by Casa Lapostolle. This isn’t a new winery to us, but this wine most certainly is. It is Lapostolle’s take on the definitive cabernet-merlot blend from arguably Chile’s most prestigious DO, Apalta, with a tiny addition of spice from Syrah and Carmenere.
Normally this case would be £85.96, but as usual, we’ve added our heavier than usual discount.
All yours for £74.99.
