Lanzerac Has Landed Offer!
The fabulous Estate of Lanzerac, on the very edge of Stellenbosch, has been our bestselling South African producer for a number of years now. Their big, brassy Chardonnays in particular have heralded the rebirth in popularity of this variety in our shop, but all of their wines show frankly ridiculous value for money. We ship them directly now, meaning we get a great price. There is a personal connection, too; my wife, Natasha, studied with the winemaker Wynand Lategan just a few hundred yards away at Stellenbosch Uni back in the 1990s, and our first drink together as a married couple was at Lanzerac, too, on the last day of the last millennium.
Lanzerac has a place in the history of South African winemaking; it’s the second oldest producer in the country, being founded in 1692, and the first to bottle a commercial Pinotage, the nation’s signature grape variety, which was propagated at the University.
As such, these wines show proper class; the chard is spot-on, the cabernet is possibly our favourite of the reds, and the fizz is crazy value, being as it is a properly bottled-aged champagne method cuvee. Pile in now on this special offer of newly landed stock.
Normally £47.97, yours for £42.49.
