Summery Weekend Trio Offer

Three elegant wines for a summer lunch

Glorious sunshine requires glorious wines. This week we’ve chosen three wines that would be ideal for a long relaxed lunch in the garden, as well as easy drinking for the lighter evenings.

La Baie Orientale, Lionel Osmin £16.49

This is a really super wine. A fabulous blend of aromatic white grapes that manages to be fragrant on the nose, and deliciously crystalline on the palate. Lionel Osmin brings together wines from across the South West of France, highlighting wines that often slip under the radar. A lovely glass to kick off with, great to pair with salty crisps, a fresh salad or burrata with a herby dressing.

Le Rollier Rosé, IGP Mediterranée £11.49

If not now, when? Obviously, as I write the sky is somewhat clouding over, but the garden calls for some delicious pink wine. Rollier is named after the bird that flies over the vineyards along the Mediterranean. The wine shows delicate red fruits, white peaches and citrus, with the right amount of weight to accompany risottos or chicken salads. Also excellent as a ‘sitting wine’ i.e. no food required!

Ca Dei Maghi, Canova Rosso, Veneto £16.49

We’ve been asked for chillable reds recently, and the wines of Valpolicella fit the bill perfectly. Canova is a the classic Valpol blend, with grapes drawn from across the Ca dei Maghi vineyards. It’s got bright Morello cherries, a dusting of chocolate and fresh fruity flavours in spades. Pop it in the fridge for 30 minutes or so, delightful!

As ever we offer them together with a tasty discount. The week looks better already.

On the shelf £44.47, this week we’ll bring them to you for £37.81
