We have been offered a one-off parcel of this gorgeous wine from some of our favourite producers in the Barossa. It’s a plush, textured Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre (think Chateauneuf-du-Pape) blend, yet not too full-on, beautifully restrained and elegant. We happily stock this wine anyway at for £27.49 s in a younger vintage; this one off parcel of 2017 is beautifully mature and even better. It’s a parcel that was bound for British Airways First Class, but a mix-up there has left it available and offered to us for one week only at a daft price, so we must buy as much as we can.
