Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey

Apparently invented by the Revd Elijah Craig, the original inventor of bourbon as we know it.  (Have you noticed the preponderance of religious people that develop substances of a spiritous/vineous nature .. Champagne, Belgian beers, Chartreuse, wines please stand up..)  Some casks were burnt accidentally but the Rev. used them anyway and discovered the deliciousness added by the smoked wood. Now it’s just how distillers treat their barrels to give the deep delicious vanilla, caramel notes to bourbon.

This Elijah Craig single batch is one of those great bourbons – baked apple, dustings of cinnamon, honey and nutmeg, now very much sought after.
