Chateau l’Enclos, Pomerol
This has very fresh, lively and attractive wet earth and hints of black truffle and violets. The palate has a very deep, plush and velvety texture with a very fresh and fluid tannin structure, carrying long and fresh. The tannins build on the palate. Blue fruit abounds here, full of pleasure and promise. Neal Martin.
Producer Profile
Since 2007, Denise and Stephen Adams have owned Château L’Enclos, located on the western, sun-drenched hillside of the well-known plateau of the Pomerol appellation. The vineyard of 10 hectares, comprised of 38 plots, has gravel soils upon a clayey sub-soil, containing traces of iron, commonly called blue clay. Work in the vineyard is carried out manually and a system of plot selection is implemented. The wines of Château L’Enclos express all the distinctive qualities of the terroir. They are renowned not only for their delicacy and silky tannins, but also for their sensation of freshness on the palate. Like all the properties owned by the Adams family, winemaking is done in accordance with the guidance of Michel Rolland, who seeks to produce a top-level wine here.
