Massaya Classic Red

These are wonderful wines, a heady mix of the Rhone, Bordeaux and the spice of the Levant. More cultured and refined tannins and texture than the better known Musar, in our opinion.

Masseria Setteporte Etna Nerello Mascalese

From steep, high altitude vineyards in red, mineral soils clinging to the slopes of Mount Etna comes a wine with intense ruby colour and ample, concentrated aromas of red fruit and wild berries, Mediterranean herbs and flint. Its fruit flavours, given focus by their volcanic origins and a year in French oak, are long lasting, dry and elegant.

Monte del Fra, Bardolino

Monte del Frá, owned by brothers Eligio and Claudio Bonemo, is one of the most dynamic producers in this part of the Veneto. Here they've fashioned a fruity Bardolino that's dangerously easy to drink. It's a vibrant pale cherry colour, with a bright nose of sweet cherry fruit and a crisp acidity. The palate is soft and rounded with no rough edges: this is a fresh, light and juicy wine.
